One Room Challenge | Powder Room | REVEAL
Good-day Ladies & Gentlemen! Today is the day and I am OVER the MOON excited to share with you the final reveal of our powder room. What was once a dark greenish brown color, is now bright and airy and has visual interest by way of accessories and actually putting stuff on the walls! I can’t believe we lived in our previous home for 8 years with minimal decor on the walls. I promised not to do that in this home, and I’m happy to say that after 1 year I DO have many things on my walls.
Okay…so let’s remind you where we started…
And here is where we are today!
Here are a few close ups…
Here is a last minute DIY that I put together using some free bathroom printables I found. Stay tuned for a tutorial on how to do this in the coming weeks!
I probably shouldn’t have titled that plan “Little to NO Budget”. I originally did because that was the truth. I did not Budget for this makeover at all. But I know I ended up spending more than I probably want to admit. I’m not making any promises, but I might come back and share the final cost break down. I just haven’t had the time to pull it together at the time of this post. The reason I said that originally, is because all I was doing was painting and using items I already had on hand. So we will see, I’m still curious how I made out. But I know I spent some money on accessories.
Changes to this plan were:
- Did not use the Brusali shoe cabinet
- Used Gray floating shelves instead of white
- I did use RED accents, mostly by way of accessories
I am so proud of this room. Every time I walk into it I am happy. And I do have to say that my first experience in this One Room Challenge was a good one and already has me thinking about next time. I might try to share a Final Thoughts on the One Room Challenge post within a week or so. Remember you can sign up for emails if you’d like to be alerted when I post something.
This room has the color scheme I am going for! Now if I could just get the rest of my house to match this. Eek! That sounds like a LOT of work. If I keep doing this challenge I can have my entire house updated by 2024!
I really want to thank you all for following along with me on this journey! You can find me on Facebook and Instagram with the name Carolina Hobby Girl if you’d like to keep up with me in the future. I also wanted to say Thank You to Linda for starting this challenge. It truly was a treat to be able to participate. And I’d like to thank Candice and Andy from @HomeLoveNetwork for the contest opportunity!
